Alex Iwobi Set To Sign New Arsenal Contract Deal (Details)

Midfielder Alex Iwobi is set to sign a new long-term contract deal with Arsenal, according to reports.

The Nigerian came through the Gunners academy and was given his first team debut by Arsene Wenger almost three years ago.

Over the weekend, Lazio expressed their interest in signing Iwobi this summer, and a £25m Bid is said to be prepared.

But, Iwobi is now set to commit his future to Arsenal.

According to the Daily Mirror, Iwobi will sign a new four-year contract deal which keeps him at the club until 2022.

The Midfielder who took part of the just concluded 2018 World Cup in Russia has only two years left on his current contact.

The Daily Mail also report Coach Unai Emery views Iwobi as a 'key' part of his plans for the future.

Its understood that Arsenal and Iwobi have been in talks over a new deal since the end of last season.

After playing for Nigeria in Russia, Iwobi missed the beginning of  Arsenal's pre-season.

But the Midfielder was chosen by Unai Emery as part of the 25-man squad which travelled to Singapore to start their pre-season tour.

Arsenal will play Atletico Madrid on Thursday before facing Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday.
