Coach Maurizio Sarri Sends Message To Chelsea Fans

Maurizio Sarri has sent a positive message to Chelsea fans ahead of his first match as manager.

The Italian arrived in London over the weekend and got straight to work by meeting some players at Cobham.

Sarri has now taken over after months of speculations if Antonio Conte would eventually be sacked.

But Conte was finally sacked on Friday which made way for Sarri to be the new manager for the Blues.

Now, The 59-year-old has sent a positive message to Chelsea fans.

“Message to Chelsea fans? What can I say, it’s 100 per cent hard work, 90 per cent fun," he told Chelsea TV.

"It’s impossible in my job to promise something else, but surely I would give all my possessions to win something with Chelsea.

“What I can achieve at Chelsea? To enjoy the fans, they’ll have to be proud of the team.

"First of all, I want to play my football, I want to enjoy myself and probably I also want to win something.

"I am here for football, Chelsea. I want to play at Stamford Bridge, so London is a wonderful city but I’m here for Chelsea."

Sarri enjoyed a solid season with Napoli last term, finishing second in Serie A.

But the manager who worked earlier as a Banker has added.

“Working as a banker? I think it helped me for the organisation of my work," he said.

"I think after that experience, I’m better when I have to organise all my jobs."

Sarri will take charge of his first game as Chelsea manager during the club's pre-season tour of Australia.
