Arsenal Boss Unai Emery Sends Message To Goalkeeper Bernand Leno

Arsenal Boss Unai Emery had admitted Goalkeeper Bernand Leno would have to wait for his chance after Peter Cech started the match against Manchester City.

The Gunners signed Leno in a £22m deal from Bayern Leverkusen this summer and was expected to be first-choice under Emery.

But for Arsenal's first Premier League match of the 2018-19 Season, Emery choose the more experienced Cech ahead of the 26-year-old.

And the Arsenal Boss has suggested that Cech will remain as his no.1 for the main time.

“We want the competitiveness from the goalkeepers and also every player in the squad,” Emery told post-match conference.

“The pre-season is the same opportunity, the same chances for the goalkeepers.

“We spoke also Petr did a very good pre-season, also today I think he played good also.

“Also he has this experience to continue defending our goal.

“Leno is starting with us, he’s working very well, he played well in pre-season.

“But he can wait to arrive in this moment.”
