Arsenal Ready To Hijack Man Utd Move For Bayern Ace Jerome Boateng

Arsenal are interested in signing Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng this summer, reports.

New manager Unai Emery has had a happy summer signing five players so far which are - Torreira, Leno, Lichtsteiner, Sokratis and Guendouzi.

And According to German Newspaper Kicker, Unai Emery is eyeing a move for Bayern Ace Boateng.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with the Germany international in recent weeks.

Reports claim The Red Devils have opened talks with Bayern for the former Man City centre-back, with coach Jose Mourinho keen to spend the cash.

However, Kicker claim Arsenal are also in Boateng, who could leave the Bundesliga this summer.

Bayern are reportedly demanding €50m for the 29-year-old if he decides to leave the club.

Arsenal’s interest in Boateng will come as a major blow to Mourinho, who has had a frustrating transfer window this summer.

The United boss is desperate to spend big, with a new centre-back and a versatile forward at the top of his wishlist.

Mourinho has publicly revealed he wants two deals, stating he has handed Vice-chairman Ed Woodward a host of options.

Meanwhile, Arsenal Kick-off their Premier League season on Sunday afternoon against Manchester City at the Emirates.
