Chelsea Legend John Terry Set To Join Spartak Moscow (Details)

Chelsea Legend John Terry is reportedly set to join Russian club Spartak Moscow and is due to complete his medical, reports.

The 37-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Aston Villa after their Championship play-off defeat to Fulham in May.

"I loved my time at Aston Villa," he told the Daily Mail.

"I am still devastated that we didn't go up.

"The manager, players and supporters were incredible with me but I hate losing and I feel there is unfinished business there.

"Steve Bruce is a great man and with the backing of the new owners, Steve will hopefully get the club back into the Premier League.

"Don't get me wrong, if I don't play again I am content with what has been an unbelievable career, but I'm still hungry to go and play if everything around it is right. If it's right for me and my family."

Terry had been expected to either retire or rejoin Aston Villa but has opted against a move to the Championship club.

Terry was due to play in 'A Match For Cancer' at Celtic Park on Saturday but the former Chelsea man has been forced to abandon his plans for the match.

Terry wrote on Instagram: "I'm sorry I can't be there today to support James Milner and Stiliyan Petrov today at Celtic Park."

And, According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Terry has decided to complete a shock transfer to Spartak Moscow and could be announced anytime soon.

Spartak are said to be keen on Terry after the loss of Samuel Gigot, who is set to miss the whole season due to injury.

Spartak are currently second in the table and have 14 points from their first six matches.
