Germany Defender Antonio Rudiger Apologies For Neck Stamp On Benjamin Pavard (Photos)

Germany Defender Antonio Rudiger has apologised to France's Benjamin Pavard after colliding with the defender and leaving several marks on his neck.

Pavard was left with red scratches from the studs of Rudiger's boot, who accidentally stamped on him during a sliding challenge.

However, Rudiger was quick to apologise to Pavard, who was able to continue playing after some treatments.

He wrote on Twitter:

"Sorry for Benjamin Pavard, it wasn't intentional.

"I have apologized to him right after it happened and I also want to use this opportunity to wish him speedy recovery."
