Harry Kane And Mohamed Salah Hard To Compare - Mauricio Pochettino

Tottenham Coach Mauricio Pochettino has declared that Harry Kane and Mohamed Salah are too different to be compared.

Tottenham welcome Liverpool to Wembley today in a clash which presents the Reds with a top six club.

It also puts two of the most prolific goalscorers of Last campaign against each other - Mohamed Salah and Harry Kane.

The Egyptian won the Golden Boot with a record-breaking 32 goals last term, and both strikers scored in both games against each other in 2017/18.

All eyes will be on both players but Pochettino believes they shouldn't be placed in the same category.

“They are two completely different players,” the Spurs manager said.

“[Salah] is more a player that plays on the side, but now is a little bit playing inside, but he's a winger.

"But both are complete players. I don't want to say anything against one or the other or just because Harry is my player, I am going to praise Harry and kill Salah.”

Pochettino dampened the sub-plot of Kane vs Salah by continuing: "The difference is obvious.

“They are different in the way that they play and how they act on the pitch. But I think both are very good players."

Spurs are looking to bounce back after a poor defeat at Watford and Pochettino also wasn't impressed.

"If you watch the Watford game again, you see we played so slow, so sloppy, from the beginning.

“It was like we thought, 'OK, it is a nice afternoon in Watford, Elton John is in thestands' - it was like going to Hyde Park with my child."If [against Liverpool] we play in the same way… Rather than take off players, I will be on the phone to say, 'Houston, we have a problem!'

"Come on. If, against Liverpool at Wembley, you do not have the desire and the focus to play, it is not about playing well, it is about attitude and to say, 'Hey, come on, we are aggressive and we try to win.’”

Tottenham vs Liverpool Confirmed XI:

Tottenham XI: Vorm, Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Dier, Dembele, Winks, Eriksen, Moura, Kane

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Keita, Salah, Mane, Firmino
