"I Hope To Finish My Career At Barcelona" - Man City Coach Pep Guardiola

Manchester City Coach Pep Guardiola has admitted that he wants to finish his coaching career with Barcelona’s academy team.

Pep was part of Barcelona’s 1990s dream team and took up his first role in management with the B team in 2007.

Guardiola won 14 trophies with Barcelona’s first team from 2008 to 2012, before joining Bayern Munich for three seasons.

He recently arrived at Manchester City in 2016 and won the 2017-18 Premier League Title.

The 47-year-old told Spanish TV: “I will finish again where I started. My last steps will be in the youth teams – I hope at Barca. I believe it’s – to start, it’s the best.”

However, The Spaniard has stated he will not return to work with the top team.

“My time there as a coach is finished because I’m not the same as I was then, nor is the way they see me the same,” Guardiola said.

“I had the time of my life there, when the world was our oyster, with some incredible players.

“I was at a fantastic age in which I was taking on the world. We took it on with some incredible players, a young president (Joan Laporta), Txiki (Begiristain).

“It was a generation of brutal players and the best player in the world (Lionel Messi). The stars aligned.”
