Man United Chief Ed-Woodward Set To Appoint Director Of Football (Details)

Manchester United Chief Ed-Woodward is set to take the club to a new level with the appointment of a director of football to act as a transfer foil between himself and Jose Mourinho.


The Red Devils endured a difficult summer transfer window, with Mourinho unimpressed after the club failed to sign his targets.


The Manchester United coach wanted at least five new players but the club signed on three - Fred, Dalot and Lee Grant.

Top transfer target, Gareth Bale remained at Real Madrid following the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.


According to reports, Woodward and Jose Mourinho's relationship have gotten worse since the summer.


However, it is also claimed that the Red Devils have no plans to sack Mourinho anytime soon.


SportDab.com.ng reports, A director of football is now seen as the key to work things out with the Red Devils eager to keep up with their rivals.


And Woodward's decision to appoint a director of football would be the first in United's 140 years history.


Several names have already been linked with the job - Monchi (AS Roma), Osi-Efa Adedotun (Sportdab) 😂 and Edwin van der Sar.
