Speaking at a press conference today, Pochettino address different issues concerning the club.

Asked if Toby Alderweired might get a new contract deal, he said: "Look, when in England the transfer window closed and in Europe closed I think we move on.

"All the situation from before we moved on, it’s in the past. For me it’s not important to talk about the past. Then like always I told you, I never talk about situations, that maybe yes or maybe no, the club is dealing or working.

"In that situation it’s not my job to talk about individual situations. I think it’s so clear, not only in his case, in all the players that have different situations, we are so clear, the club is so clear, when something happens we are going to communicate the news as soon as possible.

"I am not going to talk about individual things. It’s not going to help anyone.

Asked if Striker Harry Kane need a rest?

"I respect all opinions and in football everyone has their opinions. It’s our 5th season at Tottenham and if someone knows him really well I think we do.

"That doesn’t show that we are arrogant and show that we don’t accept the opinions of different people.

"Only that we know Harry Kane very well in the last more than four years we work with him. We know that it’s not a situation that worries us. We are in a situation that is under control.

"But of course we respect all opinion and maybe some opinions are different to us. But the problems that we have in front, we are the coaching staff at Tottenham and we take the decision and we try to take the best decision for the player and of course the team.

Asked about Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris who was banned and fined £50,000 For Drink-driving, Pochettino said:

"Of course he’s the first that regrets everything, and all that happened yesterday is not good. Of course he doesn’t feel great.

"He said he was guilty of this situation and it’s irresponsible. He’s a man. But I think the most important thing is everyone can make a mistake.

"He made a mistake and he’s suffering all the punishment of society. Of course he’s punishing himself.

"But of course we’re not God, that we can judge people. Only we need to try, that he understands, and how he understands that it was a mistake. Then we’re all men and women and we can all make mistakes. That is a massive lesson for everyone.

"He’s the first, he told me ‘gaffer it’s a massive lesson for me. I made a mistake and now I need to pay’.

"Like a man that he is, he’s going to pay and accept everything."
