Real Madrid Deny Reports Of Reducing Cristiano Ronaldo's Release Clause

Real Madrid have denied reports that the club has reduced Cristiano Ronaldo's release clause from €1bn to €120m, in a bid to sell him this summer.

The Portuguese who dropped a big hint on his future after the Champions League final against Liverpool in Kiev has been linked with different clubs over the past few weeks.

He is currently on international duties with Portugal at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and has already scored 4 goals in the tournament so far.

Earlier, OK Dario claimed that Real initially reduced his release clause to €400m before knocking off another €280m.

The Spanish outlet added that the new clause exempts Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and any other La Liga club.

OK Dario also claimed since Ronaldo's release clause had been cut down, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and AC Milan have all informed his agent they are ready to make a move.

Now, According to Marca, Real Madrid have denied the reports and insist they are all "false".

Marca add that Real will not lower Ronaldo's release clause and want to be paid €1bn before the Portuguese can leave the Santiago Bernabeu.
