World Cup 2018: Argentina 0-3 Croatia, Luka Modric Scores Again! (Details & Facts)

Croatia have defeated Argentina 3-0 to qualify for the last 16 of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The match started with pure attacking football from both sides but the first half ended goalless.

In the second half, Argentina's Goalkeeper, Caballero tried to chip the ball past a Croatian but failed and the opportunity was pounced upon by Ante Rebic in the 52nd minute.

Luka Modric then sealed with victory for Croatia with a screamer from outside the box to make it 2-0 with just 9minutes to go.

Argentina tried everything possible but couldn't even get a scoresheet with the likes of Paulo Dybala, Messi and Higuain all on the pitch.

In the 86th minute, Ivan Rakitic almost scored a screamer as his free-kick hit the wood-work of Argentina's goal.

Croatia then struck yet again with a counter attack after Argentina devoted so many players forward to get a goal but failed.

Nobody tracks back on time and Ivan Rakitic has all the time in the world to pick his spot and convert.
