However, Old Trafford fans are very angry and disappointed with the timing of the announcement due to United's lack of signings on the final day of transfer window.

“No one cares about an app on deadline day you t***s,” one fan wrote.

Another said: “Stop with the stupidity. EdWoodward is a HEADASS.”

“The club is run by a bunch of useless clowns,” a third fan wrote.

“Dude sign someone instead of releasing an app ffs,” a fourth supporter commented.

United transfer dealings this summer have been limited with the Red Devils bringing in only three players.

Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant join the club but they remain desperate to sign another defender before the window slams shut at 5pm this afternoon.
