Former Real Madrid Goalkeeper Rules Out La Liga Return

Real Madrid Legend iker Casillas has ruled out a return to La Liga to end his professional career.

Casillas wants to see out his contract with FC Porto.

He still has a year left on his current contract with the club Portuguese Champions.

And Casillas has now revealed he plans to stay with the Dragoes until he finally decides to retire.

“It would be nice to have had only a few clubs in my career,” said Casillas.

The legendary goalkeeper joined Porto back in 2015 after coming through the Club's youth ranks and then spent 25 years with Real Madrid.

“I spent a large part of my life at Real Madrid, which is the best club in history.

“But I came to Portugal and joined a strong team like Porto, so that makes me very happy.

“I’d like to finish my career with Porto and go to the end of my contract,” Casillas told Portuguese broadcaster RTP.

Casillas won five La Liga titles,  two Copa del Rey, four Spanish Super Cup, three Champions League titles, two European Super Cup, one FIFA club cup and two intercontinental titles with Real Madrid before he left for Porto in 2015.
