Revealed! Real Madrid President Promised Luka Modric Exit Before Inter Milan Claims

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez reportedly told Midfielder Luka Modric he could leave before links to Inter Milan.

Luka Modric is could leave the Bernabeu this summer with Inter Milan keen to sign him.

The Croatian is reportedly considering a move to the Serie A after six years in Spain.

According to Italian Newspaper Tuttosport, Modric will set down for crunch talks with Real Madrid President Florentino Perez over his future.

The Croatia star took the World Cup by storm this summer, helping his country reach the final where they were beaten 4-2 by France.

Inter have already signed Radja Nainggolan and, having missed out on Arturo Vidal to Barcelona, would love Modric to be their midfield lynchpin.

So far, Perez is refusing to play ball.

The Los Blancos chief has already lost Cristiano Ronaldo this summer and, only just, fended off Manchester United on Gareth Bale.

He recently said: “Luka Modric can only leave Real Madrid if somebody pays his £668million release clause.”

Tuttosport also claim Modric was promised he could leave Real a year ago if he helped them win the Champions League.

And the 33-year-old delivered on his part, starring as they beat Liverpool 3-1 in the final.

Real have until August 31 to land their top transfer targets - but that will be no easy task.

PSG are reluctant to let either Neymar or Kylian Mbappe head to the Bernabeu.

And Chelsea have so far priced them out of moves for Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard, despite both players wanting to leave.

Modric, though, would take some replacing.

Real are widely expected to lose his Croatia team-mate Mateo Kovacic, who is wanted by Manchester United and Chelsea.
